Ah, this might be one of my favourite themes - white and girly and oh-so pretty! My little prop closet is bursting at the seams and I always have so much fun raiding it to create unique sets for cake smash sessions. For this one I even raided my garden for stakes to create the little teepee (hello non-growing zucchini plants) and the beautiful piece of lace is an old table cloth rescued from a thrift store by a lovely family member. I just love how it all turned out!
Little Carlee (and her sweet little romper - gah) might have been more in love with her mama than with me, but she definitely loved her cake. And although I am not the greatest singer by any stretch of the imagination with the help of big sister, mama and nanny we managed a rendition of 'twinkle twinkle' that got this sweet girl up on her feet dancing - pretty much the cutest thing ever. Big sister Chloe jumped in to help out with the cake, and together the two of them cleaned up the top layer. And of course the icing on the cake and always my favourite part is the bubble bath. What a great way to spend a morning!
Thank you so much Carlee and family, I hope your first birthday was a blast!!
