Jessica + Ron - A Granite Springs Wedding

Well. This is a wedding I won't soon forget. As Jessica and Ron's wedding day approached, so did hurricane Dorian. And much to everyone's dismay turned this particular Saturday (after literally weeks of perfect sunny Saturdays) into a windy rainy mess. As she was putting the final touches on before the ceremony Jessica said that if the power went out while she was walking down the aisle she was turning around (there may have been an expletive or too thrown in there as well haha), and while she did made it down the length of the aisle beneath the glow of the overhead lights the power flickered multiple times while they said their I do's. It went out shortly thereafter, but this party was not going to be stopped. Jessica and Ron carried on as if nothing was happening at all, despite the fact that things were flying off the roof, the sideways rain was leaking down the walls and a tree came crashing down on the Mother of the Bride's car. Hey, just another day;). The only time they really acknowledged the storm was when I overheard Ron lean over to Jessica and say 'pretty memorable huh'. Yep, I'd say. Despite the crazy storm these two couldn't stop smiling at each other! They were so happy together and that happiness touched all of us. When I left that evening Jessica and Ron were happily married and dancing with their guests, with the music drowning out the roar of the generator outside on the back of a truck. Now that my friends was a wedding.

Thank you so much Jessica and Ron for having me on your wedding day, and to everyone who braved the storm - from the guests to the Make-up artist, Hair stylist, Justice of the Peace, DJ, Videographers, and Venue staff. Everyone came together to make this such an amazing day <3
