Rainbow Haven Beach is generally out of my travel radius, it is quite a drive from my home and I often refer to anything across the bridges as 'the other side of the universe' lol. Beach sessions (actually any session) in the harsh light of late morning is also generally out of my radius, as I love photographing in the gorgeous golden glow found right before sunset and usually schedule my sessions to capture that amazing flattering light. When clients are visiting from away it can be tricky to find the best time to fit in a photoshoot, as we all know how 'busy' vacationing can be. This family and I went back and forth trying to arrange this session to capture their trip to beautiful Nova Scotia and ended up on the beach in the morning, and I am so glad we did!
Rainbow Haven is an amazing beach! We managed to get there before most of the swim-suit clad toddlers and their buckets arrived, and we even beat the lifeguard to capture these three very sweet kiddos up on the big red chair. This family was gracious, kind and happily obliged my my many requests. They ran and played, held hands in the waves, and there was even a Dirty Dancing moment that might just go down as one of the most amazing things I have had clients do for their photos:). Thank you so much Pearce family, you were awesome and I am so thrilled to send you home with such an awesome souvenir!
